The range is best known for its large plank formats, parquet and herringbone layouts, and for the Design Strip accents that allow you to add borders and feature strips to a Karndean floor. Art Select is the range that Karndean use to showcase what the brand can do at its best, and it is the default recommendation for customers whose priority is finish quality rather than installation speed or budget.
Where Can Art Select Be Used?
Art Select is engineered for use across all residential rooms, including kitchens, bathrooms, hallways, living rooms and bedrooms. The thicker wear layer makes it well suited to high-traffic areas such as entrance halls and family kitchens, and the glue-down construction gives a completely stable, premium-feeling floor underfoot. Art Select Warranty and Installation
Karndean Art Select carries an enhanced residential warranty when installed by a Karndean Approved Retailer using the correct adhesives, underlays and methods. Subfloor preparation is critical: the substrate must be smooth, fully level, clean and dry before installation. Any irregularity or residual moisture will affect the long-term performance and appearance of a glue-down LVT product, so this stage should never be rushed.
The range is fully compatible with both wet and electric underfloor heating systems, subject to a maximum surface temperature of 27°C. Always follow Karndean’s specific guidance for installing Art Select over underfloor heating, particularly around warm-up procedures and adhesive selection.
