What Is Abstract LVT?
Abstract LVT is a luxury vinyl tile whose printed surface does not represent a natural material — neither wood nor stone. Visuals are typically concrete, polished or brushed metal, painted plaster, leather, woven fabric, fibre boards or fully synthetic patterns developed for the design library. The construction is identical to any other LVT tile — high-resolution print, embossed surface, clear PU wear layer — but the design intent is contemporary, industrial or fine-art rather than naturalistic.

Where to Use Abstract LVT
Abstract LVT is most often specified into offices, retail spaces, hospitality fit-outs and contemporary residential schemes — open-plan kitchens, lounges, dining rooms and the kind of new-build interiors where wood and stone visuals do not fit the brief.
Underfloor Heating
All ranges are compatible with both wet and electric UFH up to a maximum surface temperature of 27°C. Glue-down installs are recommended — see glue down LVT.
Installation Notes
Many abstract designs are tonal or low-contrast and reward a careful set-out that frames the room rather than fighting it. Use an experienced LVT fitter on contemporary projects — pattern matching, perimeter cuts and feature borders all matter more than they do on a straight wood plank lay. The difficulty of installation depends on the complexity of the design. Simple geometric or single-tile abstract patterns can be as easy to install as standard LVT. However, very intricate or bespoke mosaic designs may require a professional installer to ensure the pattern is laid correctly and symmetrically.
Will the abstract pattern make my room look too busy?
Not necessarily. The key is balance. In a small room, a high-impact pattern can work as a feature. In a large, open-plan space, a bold abstract design can be used to define zones.
