The defining feature of Majestic is plank size. At 205cm long by 24cm wide the boards are significantly larger than standard laminate planks and that scale changes how a floor reads. Fewer joins run across the room, the eye travels further along each board and the overall effect is more seamless and expansive – particularly effective in open-plan living areas and large reception rooms where the proportions of the planks mirror high-end hardwood. Genuine four-sided bevels define each board, so the large format still reads clearly as individual planks rather than a continuous sheet. Majestic’s designs focus on convincing oak effects that suit its grand format, organised into three families. The Woodland Oak group – Woodland Oak Natural, Woodland Oak Brown, Woodland Oak Beige and Woodland Oak Light Grey – offers classic, characterful oak across warm and cool tones. The Desert Oak group – Desert Oak Warm Natural, Desert Oak Light Natural, Desert Oak Brushed Grey and Desert Oak Brushed Dark Brown – brings a brushed, textured finish in a range from light naturals to deep browns. Valley Oak completes the library with Valley Oak Light Beige and Valley Oak Light Brown, two softer, lighter options. Every design is chosen to make the most of the extra-large board with natural grain variation that reads beautifully across the longer plank.

Quick-Step Majestic Specification

Majestic planks measure 205cm long by 24cm wide – among the largest laminate boards on the market. The HydroSeal surface coating repels water and prevents it reaching the joints, making the range suitable for kitchens, bathrooms and utility rooms when installed and perimeter-sealed correctly. The Scratch Guard wear layer resists micro-scratches up to ten times better than standard laminate. Genuine bevels on all four sides give each plank clear definition.

Planks join with the patented Uniclic click system for a glueless floating installation. Majestic carries a long domestic warranty of up to 25 years and it is PEFC certified for sustainably sourced wood fibre and produced to low VOC-emission standards. It is compatible with underfloor heating, subject to standard guidelines.

Where Majestic Fits in the Quick-Step Laminate Range

Majestic sits among the premium ranges and its distinction is format rather than core construction – it shares HydroSeal, Scratch Guard and Uniclic with the rest of the collection. Choose Majestic when the rooms are large and the extra-wide, extra-long planks will show to best effect. For standard room sizes, Impressive or Classic offer more conventional plank sizes; for a design-led textured or painted finish, look at Capture; and for a solid 12mm board, Impressive Ultra is the option to consider.

Where Quick-Step Majestic Works Best

Majestic is at its best in larger spaces – living rooms, dining rooms, open-plan kitchen-diners and large reception rooms – where the oversized planks create a genuine sense of grandeur and the reduced number of joints gives a clean, expansive finish. In a smaller room the scale of the planks can be lost, so Majestic rewards being matched to the right space. Its HydroSeal surface also makes it suitable for kitchens, bathrooms and utility rooms when installed and sealed correctly. As with all laminate, it is not suitable for wet rooms or areas with constant standing water.

Installation

Majestic installs as a floating floor using the Uniclic click system over a suitable underlay with no adhesive needed in the field. The large plank size makes correct subfloor preparation particularly important – a long board telegraphs any unevenness in the subfloor more readily than a short one – so professional installation is recommended for the best result. Proper perimeter sealing is essential to the water-resistance warranty in kitchens and bathrooms. Majestic and Underfloor Heating

Majestic is compatible with most low-temperature water-based and electric underfloor heating systems, subject to a maximum surface temperature of 27 degreesC. An underlay with suitable thermal resistance lets heat through efficiently and the system should be brought up to temperature gradually after installation. Following Quick-Step’s guidance keeps the warranty valid.

Caring for Quick-Step Majestic

Majestic is low-maintenance. Sweep or vacuum with a soft-brush attachment to lift grit and damp-mop with a well-wrung mop and a pH-neutral or Quick-Step-recommended laminate cleaner when needed. Avoid steam mops, abrasive cleaners, wax and polish and standing water. Felt pads under furniture and a doormat at entrances keep the floor looking new across its long warranty period.
