Parador Engineered Wood Flooring

Parador is a premium German engineered wood flooring brand, manufacturing in Germany and Austria since 1977. With two in-house production sites, a strong sustainability track record and a design language that sits somewhere between Scandinavian restraint and German precision, Parador is one of the most quietly respected names in the European wood flooring category — widely specified by interior designers, architects and residential developers who want a premium floor without the household-name price tag of the more marketed brands.

Grosvenor Flooring is a Parador Approved Retailer. This approval matters: Parador’s manufacturer warranties require professional installation by an approved retailer using approved methods and adhesives, so buying through us ensures your floor is fully covered. We stock the current UK Parador engineered wood line — including both of the new 2026 launches, Harmonia and Maradune — and can supply across the UK or supply and fit for customers in Altrincham, Manchester and Cheshire. To discuss your project and request a price, get in touch via our enquiry form, WhatsApp or by phone.

About Parador Engineered Wood

Parador was founded in 1977 and has grown into one of the largest flooring manufacturers in Europe — yet the business has remained privately controlled, vertically integrated and focused on its two original production sites in Coesfeld, Germany and Gütersloh, Austria. Every Parador engineered wood floor is manufactured in-house, from raw board through to the final surface finish, which gives Parador tighter quality control than brands that outsource to third-party mills.

The brand’s engineered wood catalogue is oak-led — with ash, beech, walnut, larch and European maple available in selected ranges — and covers the full set of formats specifiers expect from a premium brand: wide plank, extra-sized wide plank, 3-strip, herringbone and chevron 45°. Thicknesses span 10.5mm, 11.5mm, 13mm and 15mm depending on the range. Surfaces are available lacquered or oiled, with natural, matt and vibrant design-led finishes. Every Parador floor in the UK engineered wood range is rated for underfloor heating (wet and electric) and is designed with edge swell protection, sound insulation and low-emission Healthy Living credentials for indoor air quality.

Parador takes sustainability seriously. The brand runs on a transparent supply chain, uses PEFC-certified timber where specified, and recently introduced the Taterra line of PVC-free design flooring that sits alongside the engineered wood catalogue. For engineered wood specifically, Parador’s construction uses less hardwood than a comparable solid wood floor and is engineered for a long service life.

As a Parador Approved Retailer, Grosvenor Flooring can offer the full UK engineered wood range, validate Parador’s manufacturer warranties, and provide installation through our trained fitting teams for customers in the North West.

The Parador Range: An Overview

Parador’s current engineered wood catalogue is organised around eight headline collections, with additional specialist ranges available on request. The two most recent launches — Harmonia and Maradune — sit at the top of the range; Trend Time and Classic fill the design-led and mainstream tiers; Basic opens the line at a more accessible price point.

Harmonia Collection (new for 2026) is Parador’s new premium wide-plank launch — seven oak wide-plank floors built around natural textures, noticeable surface depth and sustainable construction. The collection is designed to give the feeling of a living, breathing natural surface and sits at the top of the current Parador premium tier alongside Maradune. Grosvenor Flooring carries Harmonia in the UK; most other UK online retailers do not yet. A strong option for design-led residential projects where the floor needs to do a significant amount of the aesthetic work.

Maradune Collection (new for 2026) is Parador’s other 2026 launch — nine wide-plank oak floors with Parador’s new SurfaceONE™ surface technology, inspired by the colour palettes of deserts (Kalahari, Tanami, Savanna) and finished with smoked, limed and natural treatments. SurfaceONE™ gives the range a softer, more tactile feel than a standard lacquered surface while keeping the durability of a premium engineered floor. Again, a range most other UK Parador retailers do not yet stock — an immediate point of differentiation for Grosvenor Flooring customers.

Trend Time 10 is Parador’s premium chevron collection — 90mm wide boards in 610mm lengths, 15mm thickness, click installation. Six Oak Nature chevron designs across natural, smoked and stained finishes. The format is strongly design-led: chevron lays in a herringbone-adjacent ‘V’ pattern and creates a significant statement in entrance halls, kitchens and larger open-plan spaces. A natural specification where the floor is the visual centrepiece of the room.

Trend Time 4 is Parador’s design-led wide plank — 160mm wide, 2010mm long, 13mm thickness, click installation. Six oak ranges including Molvina, Lugana and natural tones in matt-lacquered and natural-oil finishes. Trend Time 4 is the range to specify when you want a premium Parador wide plank without the extra-long proportions of the newest launches — a strong whole-house specification at a sensible price point.

Trend Time 3 is Parador’s small-format herringbone — 95mm wide, 570mm long, 10.5mm thickness, designed for glue-down installation. Oak herringbone parquet in matt-lacquered and natural finishes. Trend Time 3 suits smaller rooms and entrance halls where a large herringbone would visually overpower the space, or renovation projects where a traditional glue-down herringbone is the right construction method. Note: Trend Time 3 is glue-down only — not suitable for floating installation.

Classic 3060 is Parador’s single largest engineered wood range — 34 products in oak, in 185mm widths and 2200mm lengths, 13mm thickness, click installation. Matt-lacquered, natural-oil, sanded and limed/whitewashed variants are all represented. Classic 3060 is the default Parador specification for mainstream residential whole-house projects: a premium German-made wide plank floor at a competitive price, with a very wide range of finishes to suit any interior scheme.

Classic 3025 is the 3-strip and wide-plank mid-tier — 16 products in oak, in both 3-strip and wide-plank formats, 13mm thickness, click installation. Ranges include Chianti, Sauvignon and Malbec — all wine-inspired design names — in natural, whitewashed and matt-lacquered finishes. Classic 3025 is the right specification for buyers who want the Parador quality and construction standard but at a lower price point than the single-strip wide plank ranges.

Basic 11-5 is Parador’s entry-level engineered wood — 19 products spanning oak, beech, ash and larch in 3-strip, wide-plank and extra-wide-plank formats, 11.5mm thickness, click installation. A particularly strong range for buyers who want a genuine German-made engineered wood floor at a more accessible price point — including the Knotty Oak 3-strip, the Rustikal Oak extra-wide plank and the Nature Beech 3-strip. Basic 11-5 trades the 13mm construction of the Classic and Trend Time tiers for a thinner 11.5mm board, but retains Parador’s manufacturing standard and underfloor-heating compatibility.

Specialist ranges available on request. Alongside the eight headline collections, Parador offers additional specialist engineered wood ranges. Basic 19 is a wider-thickness companion to Basic 11-5; Classic 50 extends the Classic family with additional wide plank options; Trend Time 28 adds further design-led plank configurations; and Edition 7 is a specialist glue-down line including the New Classics and Open Frameworks ranges — both designed specifically for full-surface adhesive installation rather than floating. If you know the exact Parador range you are looking for and it is not listed above, get in touch — we can source across the full current Parador catalogue.

Why Buy Parador Through an Approved Retailer?

Parador’s manufacturer warranties are conditional on professional installation by an approved retailer using Parador’s specified methods and adhesives. Parador are particularly specific on this for glue-down ranges such as Trend Time 3, Edition New Classics and Open Frameworks — the adhesive specification, substrate moisture, serration size and application rate all need to match Parador’s technical data sheet for the warranty to remain valid. Buying from an approved retailer is not simply a commercial preference — it is the mechanism through which your warranty is validated.

At Grosvenor Flooring, we have been supplying and fitting premium engineered wood flooring, including Parador, for many years. Our fitting teams are experienced across wide plank, 3-strip, herringbone and chevron layouts, and will prepare the subfloor, check moisture levels, acclimatise the product and lay the floor to the standard Parador’s warranty requires. Self-install is still fully supported on the click-system ranges (Harmonia, Maradune, all Trend Time plank, all Classic, Basic 11-5) — but for glue-down ranges and warranty-critical projects we always recommend supply and fit through our team. For customers outside the North West, we supply nationwide and can provide installation guidance to help keep your warranty valid.

Parador Engineered Wood Flooring and Underfloor Heating

Every Parador engineered wood floor in the UK range is compatible with underfloor heating — 98 of the 104 current products are rated for both heating and cooling, with the remainder suitable for heating only. Maximum surface temperature is 27°C and Parador’s indoor climate guideline is 30–65% relative humidity at 17–24°C — standard engineered wood conditions. The 13mm and 15mm click ranges (Harmonia, Maradune, Trend Time 10, Trend Time 4, Classic 3060, Classic 3025) are particularly well suited to UFH projects where dimensional stability is the priority. Always follow Parador’s installation instructions to ensure compatibility and preserve your warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I clean and maintain a Parador engineered wood floor?

For lacquered Parador floors, vacuum or dry-mop regularly to remove grit, then damp-mop with a well-wrung cloth and a Parador-approved pH-neutral wood floor cleaner as needed. For oiled floors — including SurfaceONE™ — use Parador's natural-oil care products to refresh the surface over time. Avoid steam cleaners, floor waxes, polishes and excessive water. Keep the indoor climate at 30–65% relative humidity and 17–24°C, and use entrance mats with non-dyeing rubber or latex backing to stop sand and grit from acting like sandpaper on the surface.

What is SurfaceONE™ and which Parador ranges have it?

SurfaceONE™ is Parador's new 2026 surface technology, introduced on the Maradune collection. It's a textured surface finish designed to deliver the tactile feel of a traditional oiled or natural floor with the durability of a premium engineered surface. Maradune is currently the flagship range featuring SurfaceONE™ — expect Parador to extend the technology to other collections over the coming seasons.

Can I install Parador flooring myself?

Yes, on any Parador click-system range — Harmonia, Maradune, all Trend Time plank, all Classic, and Basic 11-5. These are designed for straightforward floating installation and can be fitted with basic tools over a prepared subfloor. The glue-down ranges (Trend Time 3, Edition New Classics, Open Frameworks) require specific adhesives, moisture tolerances and substrate preparation — for these we always recommend supply and fit through our team, both for quality of finish and to preserve warranty cover.

Are all Parador ranges suitable for underfloor heating?

Almost all. 98 of the 104 current Parador engineered wood products are rated for both underfloor heating and cooling, with the remainder suitable for heating only. Maximum surface temperature is 27°C and Parador's indoor climate guideline is 30–65% relative humidity at 17–24°C. The click-system ranges (Harmonia, Maradune, Trend Time 10, Trend Time 4, Classic 3060, Classic 3025, Basic 11-5) are all fully compatible with wet and electric UFH subject to Parador's installation guidelines.
