Samples for GF, Nordikka, Textures, Elements, One Flor and Alva can be ordered online and posted free of charge, typically arriving within 2–3 working days. Up to five free samples per online order; Grosvenor+ trade members receive ten. For Amtico, Karndean, Invictus, Project Floors and Harvey Maria, take-home samples are available to collect or order in person at our 24/7 Altrincham Smart Showroom, where full-size sample boards can also be browsed — open any hour of day or night with no appointment needed.

On the product page for any range, choose “Order a free sample” and add up to five samples to your basket (ten for Grosvenor+ members). No account needed, no charge for postage.

3. Submit and Receive

Complete the short checkout form with your delivery address. Samples are posted free and typically arrive within 2–3 working days. There’s no obligation to purchase afterwards.

As an approved retailer for these brands we hold the full ranges on physical display in our Altrincham showroom — including full-size sample boards you can compare side by side, take-home sample tiles you can take away with you and free brochures for each brand.

Our 24/7 Smart Showroom at 82 Stamford New Road, Altrincham, WA14 1BS is open any hour of day or night via smart-lock access — no appointment needed. Request your access code online or scan the QR code on the front of the showroom, walk in when it suits you and take home as many sample tiles as you need. This is by some distance the fastest route to a sample for these brands — minutes from arrival to leaving with samples in hand with no postal wait.

For Amtico, Karndean, Invictus, Project Floors, Harvey Maria and any other products listed on our website, samples can also be ordered directly via the manufacturer’s own website if you’d prefer to go that route. Each manufacturer operates its own free sample service for end customers.

GROSVENOR+ MEMBERS: TEN FREE SAMPLES PER ORDER

Landlords, developers, builders, designers and maintenance buyers who order flooring regularly can apply for Grosvenor+, our trade programme. Members receive ten free samples per order — twice the standard allocation — alongside member pricing, ex-VAT display, project folders for each property and the AI Mood Board Matcher. The application takes around two minutes and most are approved the same business day.

HOW TO TEST YOUR FLOORING SAMPLES AT HOME

Spending five minutes testing a sample properly can save thousands on the wrong floor. A few practical tips that make the most of any sample:

  • View samples in natural daylight, then again under evening lighting. Colour shifts noticeably between morning, afternoon and artificial light — sometimes by more than you’d expect. Test all three before deciding.
  • Lay samples next to your existing fixtures. Place against kitchen cabinets, sofa fabric, curtains, wall paint and your skirting boards — not against the packaging the sample arrived in. The relationship to your actual decor is what determines whether a floor looks right.
  • Walk on the sample if it’s large enough. Texture and grip matter, particularly with pets, children or older household members. The way a floor feels underfoot can’t be judged from a photo or a small swatch.
  • Compare two or three samples side by side. Reviewing each in isolation is harder than comparing relatives. The differences between options are usually what helps you decide.
  • Photograph the sample in situ. Sometimes a floor that looks right in person reads differently in pictures. Worth checking, particularly if you’re sharing the decision with a partner, designer or fitter.
  • Live with the samples for a few days. The first impression isn’t always the right one. A sample you initially thought was perfect can grow tiring; one you weren’t sure about can grow on you. Take a week before committing if you can.

You can order samples through us (in person at the Smart Showroom for these brands) or direct from the manufacturer — whichever suits you best.
