GF by Grosvenor Flooring is the flooring brand we developed after more than twenty years of selling luxury vinyl across the major UK premium brands. We kept seeing the same pattern that led us to launch the GF engineered wood and SPC collections: customers paying a heavy brand premium on glue-down floors that come out of the same European factories as far cheaper alternatives with very little choice in the middle ground for a buyer who simply wants a well-specified glue-down LVT at a fair price.

The range is built around two wear layers, so you can match the floor to the room rather than over-buy. The wear layer is the clear protective surface on top of the floor and its thickness is the single best guide to how long a floor will last and how well it holds its finish.
The 0.55mm tier is a strong residential specification, well suited to bedrooms, lounges, dining rooms and general family living. The 0.7mm tier steps up to a commercial-grade wear layer, the same kind of surface specified for retail and workplace floors and is the one to choose for hallways, kitchens, utility rooms and other busy through-routes. Both tiers are fully waterproof and both are compatible with underfloor heating, so stepping up to 0.7mm is purely a question of durability. Every tier is available in three formats: classic straight-laid plank, decorative herringbone parquet and realistic stone-effect and concrete-effect tile.

The main alternative to glue-down is click LVT or rigid-core SPC, which locks together and floats over the subfloor. Click is quick to fit and can be lifted again later, which suits some projects well. Glue-down trades that flexibility for a floor that is more stable, quieter underfoot and better suited to large open areas, herringbone patterns and heavy use. The GF Glue-Down LVT range is compatible with both wet and electric underfloor heating systems, subject to a maximum surface temperature of 27 degrees C and standard installation guidelines. Because glue-down LVT is bonded flat to the subfloor with no air gap, heat transfers up through it efficiently and evenly, which makes it one of the better flooring choices for a heated room.
