One Flor Workshop 55
One Flor Workshop 55 is the heavier-duty collection in the One Flor range — built around a 0.55mm wear layer for high-traffic residential and light commercial environments, with 42 embossed-in-register decors drawn from wood, stone and concrete references. Workshop 55 shares One Flor’s core construction with the residential Home 30 collection — fully waterproof, anti-slip, phthalate-free, low-VOC, 100% recyclable and finished with the PUR Ecoprotec™ surface treatment — but it is specified specifically for environments where the floor needs to take more punishment than a standard residential wear layer is rated for.
At Grosvenor Flooring we stock the full Workshop 55 collection and are the single UK retailer permitted to advertise and sell One Flor online. Workshop 55 is sold on a Request a Price basis — send us your measurements, shortlisted designs and any quotes already received via our enquiry form, WhatsApp or phone, and we will come back the same working day with a tailored, competitive price. You can also order up to five free samples through our sample service to see the finish in your own light before you commit.

About One Flor Workshop 55
Workshop 55 is the higher-specification half of the One Flor catalogue. The 0.55mm wear layer is around 80% thicker than the residential 0.30mm layer used in Home 30, and that extra material makes a meaningful difference to how the floor handles the wear patterns that build up in busy, high-use spaces — trolleys and chairs on castors, hard footwear, pet claws, and the repeated foot traffic that concentrates around door thresholds, kitchen islands, reception desks and stair landings. The 0.55mm specification is the threshold above which LVT is generally accepted for light commercial use in the UK, which is why Workshop 55 is the right choice for small retail, hospitality and home-office environments alongside the heavier end of residential.
Like Home 30, Workshop 55 is fully waterproof, anti-slip, low-VOC, phthalate-free and 100% recyclable. The surface is finished with the same PUR Ecoprotec™ treatment, which builds scuff, scratch and stain resistance into the product at manufacture. Workshop 55’s decors are embossed-in-register — meaning the surface texture follows the printed grain or stone pattern beneath it — so the floor reads as convincingly as the wood, stone or concrete reference it is drawn from, close up as well as at a distance. This matters more in commercial interiors, where customers, guests and staff are often standing on or very close to the floor for long periods.
The Workshop 55 Design Library
Workshop 55’s 42 decors sit within the same visual language as Home 30, but the collection has its own identity — more textured, more characterful, and in places more industrial. The wood references span subtle pale oaks through to weathered, smoked and aged palettes, alongside raw oak and cerused oak tones that suit heritage conversions and design-led commercial interiors. The industrial references cover classic concrete in multiple grey and brown tones, oxidised and metal-effect concretes, and terrazzo tiles. Herringbone formats are available across the range, and Workshop 55 additionally offers chevron installation patterns that Home 30 does not carry — a useful differentiator for feature-floor commercial interiors and statement residential installations.
Workshop 55 Format Options
Workshop 55 is offered in two installation systems and two plank sizes, giving four practical configurations for different subfloors and project types.
Glue-down (dryback) is a thinner, permanently bonded installation in which each plank or tile is glued directly to a prepared subfloor. Glue-down is the preferred specification in most light commercial installations because it produces the most stable, quietest floor with no air gap beneath the product — which matters where chairs, trolleys and rolling loads are in daily use. Glue-down is also the required format for chevron installation in Workshop 55.
Rigid-core click is a thicker, floating installation in which the planks or tiles click together over a suitable underlay. Click is the right specification for renovation projects, for installations over an existing floor that you want to avoid lifting, or for projects where the installation needs to be reversible (for example, rented commercial premises).
Standard and extra-wide (XL) plank sizes are available across both installation systems. Standard plank sizes suit most rooms well; XL plank sizes come into their own in larger open-plan residential, retail and hospitality spaces, where fewer visible joints read as a more contemporary, cohesive surface.
Where Workshop 55 Fits in the One Flor Range
Workshop 55 is the heavy-duty alternative to Home 30. If you are specifying a normal family home, Home 30’s 0.30mm wear layer is the right starting point. If the room or building you are flooring sees more demanding daily use — heavy household traffic, multiple pets, a holiday let turning over each weekend, a home office with desk chairs on castors, a salon or café — Workshop 55 is the safer specification. The 42-decor Workshop 55 design library is built around the same European design language as Home 30, so if you have shortlisted a design from Home 30 and realised the room needs a heavier specification, the closest equivalent design is usually available within Workshop 55.
Where Can Workshop 55 Be Used?
Workshop 55 covers the same residential rooms as Home 30 when the traffic load is heavier — busy kitchens, hallways, utility rooms, bathrooms, lounges and dining rooms — and extends comfortably into light commercial settings such as small retail units, boutiques, salons, cafés, hospitality interiors, holiday lets, home offices and small professional practices where the floor needs to perform reliably under more demanding daily use. The fully waterproof construction means Workshop 55 is equally appropriate in splash-prone and wet-use environments, including back-of-house hospitality areas, bathroom suites and shower rooms, within the scope of standard LVT installation practice.
Why Buy One Flor Workshop 55 Through an Authorised Retailer?
One Flor’s UK distribution is tightly controlled. Grosvenor Flooring is the single authorised online retailer, and the roughly 350 physical retailers across the UK who stock One Flor are authorised to sell from their showrooms only. Buying Workshop 55 through an authorised retailer — whether in person or online through us — is how you ensure you are receiving genuine One Flor product, supplied through the official UK channel, with the correct product codes, batch consistency and installation support behind it. Grey-market or unauthorised online listings will not carry the same assurance. For customers in Altrincham, Manchester and Cheshire, Grosvenor Flooring also offers supply and fit through our experienced LVT installation teams, who are familiar with both glue-down and rigid-core click systems and with setting out herringbone and chevron patterns to a professional standard.

One Flor Workshop 55 and Underfloor Heating
Workshop 55 is compatible with both wet and electric underfloor heating systems, subject to a 27°C maximum surface temperature. The glue-down (dryback) formats transfer heat particularly efficiently because the floor is bonded directly to the subfloor, with no air gap to cross; the rigid-core click formats are also UFH-compatible but require a suitable underlay rated for underfloor heating. Bring surface temperature up gradually during commissioning, and follow the manufacturer’s installation instructions in full to preserve performance.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is One Flor Workshop 55 suitable for commercial use?
Yes. Workshop 55's 0.55mm wear layer is the threshold above which LVT is generally accepted for light commercial use in the UK, making it the right specification for small retail units, boutiques, salons, cafés, hospitality interiors, home offices and holiday lets. It also performs well in heavy-traffic residential environments such as busy family homes with multiple pets and children, or any space where chairs on castors, trolleys or hard footwear are in regular daily use.
What is the difference between Workshop 55's 42 decors and Home 30's 38 designs?
The two collections share a consistent European design language but Workshop 55 has its own identity — more textured, more characterful and in places more industrial. Workshop 55's 42 decors are embossed-in-register, meaning the surface texture follows the printed grain or stone pattern beneath it, which helps the floor read as convincingly as the material it references. Workshop 55 also carries chevron installation patterns that Home 30 does not offer.
Does Workshop 55 come in herringbone and chevron formats?
Yes. Herringbone formats are available across the Workshop 55 collection in both glue-down and rigid-core click installation. Chevron installation patterns are available in the glue-down (dryback) formats specifically — chevron is a Workshop 55 exclusive within the One Flor range and is not offered in Home 30.
How quickly can I get a price for Workshop 55?
