Where Can Knight Tile Rigid Core Be Used?

Knight Tile Rigid Core is suitable for all residential rooms, including kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms, hallways, living rooms and bedrooms. The waterproof SPC core means it can be fitted in wet areas without the concerns that can apply to some glue-down LVT products. It is also a strong choice for renovation projects where you want to lay flooring over an existing hard surface — tile, concrete, old vinyl — without a full subfloor rebuild.

For very high-traffic environments or statement parquet and herringbone layouts, the thicker wear layer and premium format options of Karndean Art Select or Karndean Van Gogh Rigid Core may be more appropriate.

Wood designs range from pale, limed oaks through to warmer mid-tones and deeper, darker plank finishes — good all-rounders that work across most interior styles. Knight Tile Rigid Core Warranty and Installation

Knight Tile Rigid Core is supplied with a residential warranty when installed by a Karndean Approved Retailer using the correct methods. The rigid core construction means subfloor preparation is less demanding than with glue-down LVT, but the substrate should still be clean, broadly level and dry. The pre-attached acoustic underlay removes the need for a separate underlay product.

The range is fully compatible with both wet and electric underfloor heating systems, subject to a maximum surface temperature of 27°C. Always follow Karndean’s specific guidance for underfloor heating installations to ensure warranty compliance.
