Is Karndean Knight Tile waterproof?
Yes. Like all of Karndean's own ranges, Knight Tile is 100% waterproof, so it suits kitchens, bathrooms and utility rooms. As a glue-down floor it should still be installed to Karndean's guidance for wet areas.
What warranty comes with Karndean Knight Tile?
Knight Tile carries Karndean's transferable lifetime warranty, a 35-year residential guarantee, when bought and installed through a Karndean Approved Retailer such as Grosvenor Flooring. The warranty can be passed on if you sell your home.
How much does Karndean Knight Tile cost?
Knight Tile is the most accessible range in the Karndean portfolio, which is why it is popular for whole-home projects. Can I create patterns like herringbone with Knight Tile Gluedown?
Knight Tile is a plank and tile range, so full-size planks and tiles can be laid in patterns such as brick bond or diagonal. For a dedicated herringbone or parquet floor, Karndean Van Gogh and Art Select offer purpose-made herringbone formats.
Is Karndean Knight Tile suitable for commercial use?
Knight Tile is designed as a residential floor and copes well with busy home settings such as kitchens and hallways. For commercial traffic, a purpose-made commercial floor is more appropriate and we can advise on the right specification when you request a price.
Why is subfloor preparation so important for glue-down LVT?
Glue-down LVT is bonded directly to the subfloor, so any bump, dip or residual moisture will telegraph through to the finished surface and can affect performance. A smooth, level, clean and dry substrate is essential, which is one reason Karndean ties its warranty to installation by an approved retailer.
Is installing glue-down LVT messy or difficult?
Glue-down installation is more involved than click flooring because it needs careful subfloor preparation and the correct adhesives, which is why it is best fitted by an experienced installer. The payoff is the flattest, most stable and longest-lasting finish. If you prefer a simpler fit, Knight Tile Rigid Core is the click-format alternative.
