When to Use the Mood-Board Matcher

The Mood-Board Matcher is the right tool to reach for when you have a style or aesthetic in mind but not a specific floor in mind. Use it when:

You have saved dozens of inspiration images and need to translate the overall vibe into a product shortlist. Stop scrolling through brands one by one. Let the tool do the curation.

A designer (or you, on behalf of a client) has put together a mood-board you need to specify against. Upload the board and get matching products you can actually buy.

You have found a room photo where the overall feel is right but the flooring itself is not the focus, not identified or not available. Match the look rather than the exact floor.

You are matching flooring to a colour palette, furniture choice or design theme you have already locked in. Drop in a mood-board that includes those references and the matches will sit comfortably alongside them.

How This Differs from Floor Finder

The Mood-Board Matcher and Floor Finder are sister tools that solve different jobs at different ends of the discovery process.

The Mood-Board Matcher is for matching an overall style. Drop in a mood-board, a Pinterest collection or a room scene where the flooring is not the focus and get products that fit the whole look rather than one specific image.

Floor Finder is for matching one specific photo of a specific floor. Drop in a competitor’s product image or a snapshot of your existing floor and get the closest visual matches from our range. Pure plank-to-plank visual matching.

Many customers use both. Start with the Mood-Board Matcher to find the right family of products. Once you have a specific photo or product link you want to compare, switch over to Floor Finder for the exact match.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the AI Mood-Board Matcher do?

You upload a mood-board image – a Pinterest screenshot, a magazine clipping, a designer’s reference board, a room scene, anything that captures the look you want – and our AI engine returns a shortlist of flooring products from our range that fit the overall style.

How is this different from Floor Finder?

Floor Finder is for matching a specific photo of a specific floor (plank-to-plank similarity). The Mood-Board Matcher is for matching an overall style, mood or aesthetic where the flooring may not be the focus of the image. Different jobs, different tools. Many customers use both.

Do I need to be a Grosvenor+ member to use it?

Yes, currently. The Mood-Board Matcher sits inside the Grosvenor+ member area. Apply for Grosvenor+ if you would like access.

What kind of images can I upload?

Any inspiration image that captures the look you want. Pinterest collections, screenshotted magazine pages, interior design mood-boards, room photography, a single styled image where the overall vibe is the point. Standard image formats work.

What do I get back?

A shortlist of flooring products from our range, ranked by how well they fit the style of your input image. Each result links to its live product page so you can read full specifications, order a sample or proceed to purchase.

How do I apply for Grosvenor+ membership?

Apply at grosvenor-flooring.com/grosvenor-plus-application/. Membership is aimed at landlords, developers, designers, builders and other professionals whose work involves regular flooring specification.

Is my image stored or shared with third parties?

Your uploaded image is processed by our AI engine for the matching step only. We do not store the image on our servers beyond the time it takes to return your results, and we do not share it with any third party.
