GF Glue-Down LVT
GF Glue-Down LVT is the Grosvenor Flooring glue-down luxury vinyl range, made to our specification and priced to give you a properly specified glue-down floor without paying the premium that comes with the better-known names. Glue-down LVT is bonded directly to the subfloor rather than floating over an underlay, which makes it the most stable LVT format and the one professional fitters favour for busy homes and demanding commercial spaces.
The range comes in two wear layers, a 0.55mm tier for everyday homes and a commercial-grade 0.7mm tier for the hardest-working spaces, across plank, herringbone, basketweave, chevron and stone-tile formats. Every GF Glue-Down LVT product is available to buy online with full pricing displayed and we offer up to 5 free samples per order so you can compare colours, textures and finishes properly at home before you commit.

About GF Glue-Down LVT
GF by Grosvenor Flooring is the flooring brand we developed after more than twenty years of selling luxury vinyl across the major UK premium brands. We kept seeing the same pattern that led us to launch the GF engineered wood and SPC collections: customers paying a heavy brand premium on glue-down floors that come out of the same European factories as far cheaper alternatives with very little choice in the middle ground for a buyer who simply wants a well-specified glue-down LVT at a fair price.
GF Glue-Down LVT is our answer to that gap. The range is made to our specification by established European manufacturers. Because we sell it directly rather than through a national distributor network, we can hold the spec high and the price sharper than the comparable premium ranges.
The GF Glue-Down LVT Range
The range is built around two wear layers, so you can match the floor to the room rather than over-buy. The wear layer is the clear protective surface on top of the floor and its thickness is the single best guide to how long a floor will last and how well it holds its finish.
The 0.55mm tier is a strong residential specification at 2.5mm thick, well suited to bedrooms, lounges, dining rooms and general family living. The 0.7mm tier steps up to a 3.0mm construction with a commercial-grade wear layer, the same kind of surface specified for retail and workplace floors and the one to choose for hallways, kitchens, utility rooms and other busy through-routes. Both tiers are fully waterproof, both are compatible with underfloor heating and both are backed by a lifetime warranty, so stepping up to 0.7mm is purely a question of durability.
Across the two tiers the range offers five formats: straight-laid plank and herringbone parquet in both tiers, basketweave parquet and stone-effect tile in the 0.55mm tier and chevron parquet in the 0.7mm tier.
| Tier | Thickness | Wear layer | Formats | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Residential | 2.5mm | 0.55mm | Plank, herringbone, basketweave, stone tile | Bedrooms, lounges, dining rooms, general family living |
| Commercial-grade | 3.0mm | 0.7mm | Plank, herringbone, chevron | Hallways, kitchens, utility rooms, busy and light-commercial spaces |
Why Buy GF Glue-Down LVT from Grosvenor Flooring?
Most customers who choose GF Glue-Down LVT have already shopped a few of the brand-name glue-down ranges and want to know whether the GF range offers comparable quality at a sharper price. Our honest answer is yes, on the floors we sell under the GF name. The wear layer, the dimensional stability and the surface design quality are directly comparable to glue-down floors costing a good deal more elsewhere. Much of what you save with GF is the brand premium itself.
For the full picture, our GF Glue-Down LVT review sets out the range in detail and our comparisons of GF Glue-Down LVT vs Amtico and GF Glue-Down LVT vs Karndean show exactly where GF lines up on wear layer, format and price.
Buying GF also gives you full online checkout, transparent pricing, our free sample service of up to 5 samples per order and direct support from our team rather than a call centre.
Glue-Down LVT vs Click: Which to Choose?
The main alternative to glue-down is click LVT or rigid-core SPC, which locks together and floats over the subfloor. Click is quick to fit and can be lifted again later, which suits some projects well. Glue-down trades that flexibility for a floor that is more stable, quieter underfoot and better suited to large open areas, herringbone patterns and heavy use. If a floating floor suits your project better, our GF SPC range covers that ground and our GF SPC vs GF Glue-Down LVT comparison weighs up the two GF formats directly. Our blog on glue-down vs click LVT talks the decision through in more detail.
Where Can GF Glue-Down LVT Be Used?
GF Glue-Down LVT is suitable throughout the home. As a fully waterproof floor it performs especially well in kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms and hallways, where moisture and traffic are highest. It is equally at home in lounges, dining rooms and bedrooms. Its stability also makes it a strong choice for large open-plan rooms and for conservatories and garden rooms, where temperatures swing through the day. For the busiest spaces, the 0.7mm tier adds commercial-grade protection without a commercial price.
GF Glue-Down LVT and Underfloor Heating
The GF Glue-Down LVT range is compatible with both wet and electric underfloor heating systems, subject to a maximum surface temperature of 27C and standard installation guidelines. Because glue-down LVT is bonded flat to the subfloor with no air gap, heat transfers up through it efficiently and evenly, which makes it one of the better flooring choices for a heated room. Always follow the installation instructions to preserve performance and warranty cover.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is GF Glue-Down LVT?
GF Glue-Down LVT is Grosvenor Flooring's own dryback luxury vinyl range, made to our specification and bonded directly to the subfloor for the most stable and seamless finish. It comes in two tiers, a 2.5mm floor with a 0.55mm wear layer and a 3.0mm floor with a commercial-grade 0.7mm wear layer, across five formats.
Should I choose the 0.55mm or 0.7mm wear layer?
Both tiers are fully waterproof and both work with underfloor heating, so the choice is about durability. The 0.55mm tier is a strong residential specification for bedrooms, lounges and dining rooms. The 0.7mm tier is commercial-grade and is the one to choose for hallways, kitchens, utility rooms and other busy or light-commercial spaces.
What formats does GF Glue-Down LVT come in?
Five: straight-laid plank and herringbone parquet in both tiers, basketweave parquet and stone-effect tile in the 0.55mm tier and chevron parquet in the 0.7mm tier.
Is GF Glue-Down LVT waterproof?
Yes. Every GF Glue-Down LVT floor is fully waterproof, so it can be used in kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms and hallways as well as living spaces, provided the subfloor is sound, level and dry.
What is the difference between glue-down and click LVT?
Glue-down is bonded to the subfloor with adhesive, which gives the most stable, quiet and seamless finish and suits large open areas, herringbone and heavy use. Click LVT and rigid-core SPC float over the subfloor, install faster and can be lifted again later. For a floating floor, see our GF SPC range.
What warranty does GF Glue-Down LVT come with?
GF Glue-Down LVT is backed by a lifetime warranty, supported when the floor is installed to our guidelines. It is also fully waterproof and scratch resistant.
Can GF Glue-Down LVT be used with underfloor heating?
Yes. It is compatible with wet and electric underfloor heating systems when installed to the manufacturer's guidelines. Because it is bonded flat to the subfloor with no air gap, heat transfers up through it efficiently. Keep the floor surface temperature within the recommended limit of 27C.
Can I buy GF Glue-Down LVT online and order samples?
Yes. Every product is available to buy online with full pricing displayed and you can order up to 5 free samples per order (posted free) to compare colours and textures at home before you commit.
