Frequently Asked Questions

What is Abingdon LVT?

Abingdon LVT is a curated luxury vinyl tile range supplied by Grosvenor Flooring at trade-tier per-square-metre rates by the pallet. The range is manufactured by Abingdon (a UK flooring brand with a long-standing reputation across the British residential market) and covers plank, herringbone and parquet formats across six design collections with a 0.55mm wear layer and 15-year residential warranty.

What formats are available in Abingdon LVT?

Abingdon LVT covers six collections across three format families. Eminence offers a plank format in Click and Dryback installation options across six wood-effect finishes. Artisan offers a herringbone format in Click and Dryback options across six wood-effect finishes. Tapestry is a large-plank parquet collection and Mosaic is a small-plank parquet collection, both supplied in six matching colours.

What is the difference between Click and Dryback?

Click installation gives a floating floor that locks together over a properly prepared subfloor with no glue required. Dryback (glue-down) installation bonds the floor permanently to the subfloor across the full plank or block area. Click is the right choice for projects wanting a faster fit without adhesive. Dryback is the right choice for wet rooms including kitchens and bathrooms because the glue-down seal handles moisture better than click-lock formats.

What is the difference between Tapestry and Mosaic?

Tapestry and Mosaic are Abingdon's two parquet collections in the same six colours. Tapestry uses a larger plank block format which gives a more substantial parquet look suited to larger rooms and feature spaces. Mosaic uses a smaller plank block format which suits compact spaces, smaller rooms and tighter parquet patterns. Both are dryback installation.

How durable is Abingdon LVT?

Abingdon LVT carries a 0.55mm wear layer protected by Abingdon's surface treatment and is rated for heavy residential traffic across full-property installs. The emboss-in-register surface technology aligns the texture with the print grain pattern across every product, giving a more authentic timber-look finish than a generic embossed LVT. The 4-sided bevel edge adds visual definition between planks or blocks.

Is Abingdon LVT suitable for kitchens and bathrooms?

Yes. The Dryback (glue-down) versions bond the floor permanently to the subfloor across the full plank or block area which seals it against everyday moisture better than click-lock formats. Standard waterproof installation practice should still be followed at thresholds and around fixtures. The Eminence Dryback (plank), Artisan Dryback (herringbone), Tapestry and Mosaic ranges are all dryback construction and well-suited to wet rooms.

What warranty comes with Abingdon LVT?

Abingdon LVT carries a 15-year residential warranty across the full range. The warranty reflects the durability of the 0.55mm wear-layer specification and Abingdon's surface treatment across heavy residential traffic in any room.

Is Abingdon LVT suitable for buy-to-let or rental properties?

Yes. The range is designed for the harder use a rental property takes through tenant turnover. The 0.55mm wear layer and emboss-in-register surface handle full-property residential installs across kitchens, hallways and high-traffic rooms. One pallet typically covers a one or two-bedroom rental property in a single delivery.

How long does Abingdon LVT delivery take?

The range is supplied to order with a typical lead time of 3 to 5 working days from order to delivery. The specific lead time for each product is shown on the listing. Delivery is free kerbside on a tail-lift pallet direct to the delivery address as a single drop. Forklift offload is available where the receiving site has a forklift available.
