Polyflor Ranges Explained (2026): Every LVT Range, Side by Side
Polyflor’s LVT portfolio covers eight current ranges, each engineered for a specific buyer and environment. From entry-tier residential through top-tier commercial and dedicated slip-resistant LVT, the eight ranges sit at distinct wear-layer specifications, design libraries and price points. The challenge for buyers is which range to pick: Camaro and Camaro Rigid Core sound similar but install very differently; Expona Commercial and Expona Design overlap on the commercial side; Affinity 255 and Expona Bevel Line both carry bevelled-edge formats but target different environments. This guide cuts through the overlap with a side-by-side comparison of every range, including specifications, prices, use cases and the decision framework for which to choose.

Which Range to Choose: Decision Framework
If the project is residential family home: Camaro for glue-down installations or whole-home runs with UFH. Camaro Rigid Core for retrofits, upstairs rooms or DIY-friendly click. Colonia if budget is the priority and a slightly thinner specification is acceptable.
If the project is residential with design-led plank-edge styling: Affinity 255 for bevelled-edge residential at commercial wear-layer specification.
If the project is commercial office, retail or hospitality: Expona Commercial for standard commercial fit-out. Expona Design for top-tier commercial, flagship retail or design-led commercial.
If the project is commercial wet zone or kitchen: Expona Control for R11 slip-resistant LVT. For higher R-ratings or sheet vinyl preferred, Polyflor safety flooring sheet (contact us separately).
If the project requires bevelled-edge commercial styling: Expona Bevel Line.
If the project is residential with a herringbone or parquet brief: Camaro for glue-down dedicated parquet formats (Cambridge Parquet, Georgian Parquet, LPQ Large Parquet). Camaro Rigid Core for click herringbone designs.
If the project is mixed-use residential-commercial: Specify Camaro for the residential side and Expona Commercial for the commercial side. Or specify Affinity 255 across both if the design brief warrants the design-led approach.
Camaro vs Camaro Rigid Core in Detail
These two ranges are the most commonly confused in the Polyflor portfolio. They share the Camaro brand and overlapping design library but install completely differently.
Camaro is glue-down dryback. Bonded to the prepared subfloor with Polyflor’s approved adhesive. 2.5mm thin specification. No integral underlay. Dedicated parquet formats (Cambridge Parquet, Georgian Parquet, LPQ Large Parquet) only available in Camaro.
Camaro Rigid Core is SPC click. Floats on the existing subfloor with integral IXPE acoustic underlay. 6mm thicker specification. 18 decibel impact noise reduction from the integral underlay. Dedicated herringbone designs (RPQ4141, RPQ4143, RPQ4144, RPQ4147) only available in Camaro Rigid Core.
For UFH, glue-down Camaro gives better heat transfer. For upstairs rooms, Camaro Rigid Core’s acoustic underlay matters. For retrofits over existing solid floors, Camaro Rigid Core is the practical choice. For new-build refurbishment, Camaro is the typical specification. Detail in our Camaro vs Camaro Rigid Core comparison.
Expona Commercial vs Expona Design in Detail
The two commercial flagship ranges target overlapping markets with different wear-layer specifications.
Expona Commercial at 0.55mm wear layer is the mainstream commercial LVT. Sufficient for offices, mid-tier retail, education, light healthcare, public-sector buildings. The 80+ design library covers most commercial briefs.
Expona Design at 0.7mm wear layer is the top-tier commercial LVT. Specified in flagship retail, top-tier hospitality, university campus buildings, healthcare with heavier traffic and design-led commercial fit-out. The 100+ design library is the deepest commercial LVT design library in the UK market.
The 0.15mm wear-layer difference extends commercial service life in heavier-traffic environments by roughly 30 per cent. For projects expecting 20+ year service life with heavy traffic, Expona Design is the right call. For standard commercial fit-out, Expona Commercial delivers full performance at a moderate commercial price point.
Where Does Each Range Sit Against Karndean and Amtico
Polyflor Colonia competes with Karndean Knight Tile entry tier and Amtico First. Comparable residential glue-down LVT at entry-tier pricing.
Polyflor Camaro competes directly with Karndean Knight Tile and Amtico Spacia. Detail in our Polyflor Camaro vs Karndean comparison.
Polyflor Camaro Rigid Core competes with Karndean Knight Tile Rigid Core, Amtico Click Smart, Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl and Invictus Maximus. Click-format residential LVT category.
Polyflor Affinity 255 competes with Karndean Van Gogh and Amtico Spacia in the design-led residential-commercial bracket.
Polyflor Expona Commercial competes with Karndean Da Vinci 0.55mm and Amtico Form. Mainstream commercial LVT.
Polyflor Expona Design competes with Karndean Da Vinci 0.7mm and Amtico Signature 1.0mm (though Amtico Signature is one wear-layer tier above). Top-tier commercial LVT.
Polyflor Expona Control competes with Karndean’s commercial slip-resistant offer (less developed) and Altro safety flooring (sheet format). The R11 LVT category is relatively narrow with Polyflor as the leading specification.
UK Manufacturing Across the Range
One credential that runs across the entire Polyflor LVT range and which neither Karndean nor (most) Amtico products match: UK manufacturing. The complete Polyflor LVT range is manufactured at Polyflor’s Whitefield factory in Manchester. For UK-content-led procurement, BREEAM-rated projects and Made-in-Britain procurement, every Polyflor range delivers the same UK-content credential.
Amtico Signature is also UK-manufactured (Coventry); other Amtico ranges are split. Karndean’s residential LVT is manufactured in South Korea and Vietnam. For UK-procurement priority, Polyflor and Amtico Signature are the UK-manufactured options.
Sustainability Across the Range
Every Polyflor LVT range carries the same core sustainability credentials: BRE Green Guide A, FloorScore certified, Indoor Air Comfort Gold, Finnish M1 classification, up to 40 per cent recycled content, 100 per cent recyclable, REACH compliant. BREEAM, WELL and LEED documentation available across the range. Polyflor’s Recofloor end-of-life take-back scheme covers all LVT product for recycling at refurbishment or end-of-service.
