Nordikka Living — Entry-Level Glue-Down LVT
Nordikka Living is the entry point into the Nordikka glue-down range. At 2.0mm thick with a 0.3mm wear layer, it is designed for lighter residential use — bedrooms, living rooms and spaces where the floor is not under constant heavy demand.
It offers clean, Scandinavian-inspired wood-effect styling in a permanently bonded format, with an accessible price point that makes it a popular starting choice for homeowners who want the Nordikka look without the higher specification.
Best for: Bedrooms, living rooms, dining rooms, lower-traffic spaces.
Not recommended for: Kitchens, hallways or heavily used family spaces — consider Original or Select instead.
Nordikka Original — Mid-Range Glue-Down LVT
Nordikka Original is a significant step up in specification. At 2.5mm thick with a 0.55mm wear layer — nearly double the wear layer of Living — it is a genuinely heavy-duty residential floor built for the busiest rooms in the home.
This is our most commonly recommended Nordikka range for customers fitting flooring throughout a whole property. The 0.55mm wear layer gives it comparable durability to the top residential tier of many premium LVT brands, at a mid-range price point.
Best for: Kitchens, hallways, open-plan living areas, busy family homes, homes with pets.
Installation: Glue-down. Professional installation recommended.
Nordikka Select — Premium Glue-Down LVT and Click SPC
Nordikka Select is the most specification-led range in the Nordikka collection. It carries the same 0.55mm wear layer as Original but adds two important capabilities: availability in both glue-down and click SPC formats, and suitability for light commercial environments.
The dual-format availability is particularly useful for developers and customers fitting flooring across multiple different spaces — maintaining the same design while adapting installation format to suit each room or subfloor condition. Herringbone layouts are also available within Select, allowing the same tone to be used in plank format across main rooms and herringbone in feature areas.
Best for: High-specification residential projects, light commercial use, developers, multi-format installations.
Installation: Glue-down LVT or click SPC — choose the format that suits each space.
Nordikka Click SPC — Rigid Core Click Flooring
Nordikka Click SPC uses a stone plastic composite core and click-lock installation system. Unlike glue-down LVT, it is a floating floor that does not require adhesive — making it faster to install and more forgiving over minor subfloor imperfections.
The SPC core provides excellent rigidity and stability, and the click system allows individual planks to be replaced more easily than in a bonded floor. It is particularly popular for renovation projects where speed of installation and subfloor tolerance are priorities.
Best for: Renovation projects, subfloors with minor variation, DIY-accessible projects, any room where click installation is preferred.
Installation: Click-lock floating floor — no adhesive required.
Tromso Herringbone LVT — Glue-Down Herringbone
Tromso Herringbone LVT brings the classic parquet herringbone pattern to the Nordikka range in a glue-down format. Permanently bonded to the subfloor, it creates the most seamless and refined herringbone result — particularly well suited to larger open-plan spaces and feature areas where the floor is a core design element.
Professional installation is strongly recommended. Glue-down herringbone requires precise subfloor preparation and careful planning to achieve the correct pattern alignment.
Best for: Hallways, open-plan living areas, feature spaces, large rooms where a seamless herringbone finish is the goal.
Installation: Glue-down. Professional installation essential.
Bodo Herringbone SPC — Click Herringbone
Bodo Herringbone SPC offers the same herringbone pattern in a rigid SPC click format — faster to install and more forgiving than glue-down herringbone. The SPC core provides excellent stability, which helps maintain the pattern alignment over time.
Bodo is the practical choice for renovation projects and homeowners who want a herringbone result without the complexity and extended installation time of glue-down.
Best for: Hallways, kitchens, renovation projects, any space where herringbone is desired but click installation is preferred.
Installation: Click-lock SPC floating floor.
Glue-Down vs Click — Which is Better for You?
The honest answer is that neither format is inherently better — they suit different projects.
- Choose glue-down if you want the most seamless, permanently bonded result. Better for large open-plan areas and projects where professional installation is planned.
- Choose click SPC if you need faster installation, are working on a renovation project, or have a subfloor with minor variation that makes glue-down more challenging.
Nordikka Select is the only range that offers both formats — useful if you want to maintain the same design across different installation types across a property.
