Reviewed by our team, led by Adam Williams, Managing Director
Invictus Ultimus is the premium Invictus range and we supply and fit it. If you have found an Ultimus design you like but the price, the lead time or the plank size is not quite right, there is a GF alternative. This page shows the closest design from our own brand GF by Grosvenor Flooring for every one of the 44 Ultimus wood designs on our site, matched on fitting, look and wear layer.

Key Takeaways
Ultimus and GF at a Glance
Ultimus and the two GF glue-down ranges are built the same way: a flexible vinyl plank bonded to a smooth, prepared subfloor with adhesive. The wear layer is the clear protective top coat.

Every Invictus Ultimus Wood Design and Its Closest GF Match
The table lists every Ultimus wood design on our site in A to Z order with the single closest GF design. Each match has the same fitting and the same plank, herringbone or chevron look.
How close is each match? “Very close match” and “Similar look” mean both floors have been checked against photos. “Similar colour” means no GF design passed the photo check, so the table shows the GF design closest in colour with the same fitting and look. For those, order samples of two or three GF designs before you decide. Where a match is a 0.55mm GF design, ask us about the GF Glue-Down 0.7mm tier if you want the same wear layer as Ultimus.
The GF Designs That Match Ultimus Most Often
A handful of GF designs cover most of the Ultimus wood range, so if you are choosing between several Ultimus designs, these are the GF samples to order first:
Every GF design is also listed with its wear layer, thickness and plank size on the GF Flooring website, under GF by AW and Glue Down LVT.
How to Check a Match Before You Buy
Colour and grain read differently on a screen than in a room, so order a free sample of the GF match and look at it on your own floor, in daylight and under your own lighting. To see it next to the Ultimus design itself, visit our Altrincham showroom, where both are on display.
When Invictus Ultimus Is the Right Answer

We supply and fit the full Ultimus range too, so you can compare both and choose. Our Invictus alternative guide covers the GF match for every Invictus range.
