Invictus Flooring Alternative: A Value Match on Specification – Grosvenor Flooring

Key Takeaways

Invictus spans glue-down (Primus, Maximus, Ultimus) and rigid-core click (Maximus Click); GF has a direct match for each tier.

GF by Associated Weavers matches Invictus Maximus exactly at 0.55mm and GF Glue-Down’s 0.7mm tier matches Invictus Ultimus; GF Glue-Down’s 0.55mm tier matches Maximus too.

GF SPC is the rigid-core click equivalent of Invictus Maximus Click.

GF is our own brand, sold direct with full online pricing and up to five free samples – the value route if you want a matching specification for less.

Both are fully waterproof and underfloor-heating compatible.

The GF Match for Each Invictus Tier

Invictus is built around wear-layer tiers and GF lines up against them directly.

Whichever Invictus tier you were considering, GF has a matching format. The wear layer matches too, except on the click side, where GF SPC’s 0.5mm is just under Maximus Click’s 0.55mm. GF Glue-Down LVT covers the Maximus and Ultimus glue-down tiers and GF SPC covers the Maximus Click rigid-core format.

Invictus range	Fitting	Wear layer	GF equivalent	GF wear layer
Invictus Maximus	Glue-down	0.55mm	GF by Associated Weavers and GF Glue-Down	0.55mm
Invictus Ultimus	Glue-down	0.7mm	GF Glue-Down LVT, 0.7mm tier	0.7mm
Invictus Maximus Click	Rigid-core click	0.55mm	GF SPC	0.5mm

When GF Is the Better Pick

GF is our own brand, sold direct. That means full online pricing, up to five free samples delivered to compare at home and an equivalent specification without the brand premium. If your priority is a matching wear layer and format at the sharpest price, or you want the floor supplied to order with fast free UK delivery, GF is the value route. If you want a specific Invictus decor we stock, we are happy to supply that too – both sit within the same Grosvenor Flooring range.

Popular Invictus Wood Designs and Their GF Match

These are the closest GF designs to some popular Invictus woods. They come from the same matching that powers Floor Finder and the We Recommend section on each Invictus product page, so every match has the same fitting and the same plank, herringbone or chevron look.

“Very close match” means both floors have been checked against photos. Some of the closest matches for Ultimus planks are GF designs with a 0.55mm wear layer, so check the wear layer as well as the look.

Matching the Look

If you have already chosen an Invictus decor, our Floor Finder finds the closest GF equivalent and free samples let you check the match in your own light before ordering.

Invictus Ranges Explained

Knowing which Invictus range you were looking at makes the GF match precise. Invictus glue-down runs in three tiers: Primus at a 0.3mm wear layer for lighter use, Maximus at 0.55mm for everyday homes and Ultimus at 0.7mm for the hardest-worked spaces. Invictus Maximus Click is the rigid-core version, a click floor with a sound-insulating underlay attached that floats over the subfloor. GF lines up against the tiers most people buy: GF by Associated Weavers at 0.55mm (or GF Glue-Down’s 0.55mm tier, an equal match) for Maximus, the GF Glue-Down 0.7mm tier for Ultimus and GF SPC for Maximus Click. If you were considering Primus at 0.3mm, the matching GF 0.3mm tier is sold exclusively on the B&Q website; here at Grosvenor Flooring, GF starts a step above it at 0.55mm. The GF Flooring website shows every GF glue-down design at each wear layer and where to buy it.

Installation and Buying

The fit depends on the format you match. A GF Glue-Down floor, like Invictus Maximus or Ultimus, is bonded to a smooth, prepared subfloor with adhesive and is best laid by an experienced fitter, giving the most stable, seamless finish. GF SPC, like Invictus Maximus Click, clicks together and floats over most existing hard floors after a flatness check, which is a faster, cleaner job. On buying, GF is sold direct with full online pricing, up to five free samples and stock supplied to order with fast free UK delivery, so you can see the price and compare at home before committing.

Matching a Specific Decor

If you have already chosen a particular Invictus oak or stone, Floor Finder will shortlist the closest GF decors and free samples let you confirm the match in the room before you order. Because colour and grain read differently on a screen than on a floor, comparing physical samples in your own light is the only reliable way to be sure and it costs nothing to do.

Buyer Scenarios

A homeowner who liked Invictus Maximus but wants the sharpest price on the same 0.55mm wear layer can match it with GF by Associated Weavers or GF Glue-Down, both at 0.55mm. A buyer drawn to Ultimus for the heavier 0.7mm surface gets that wear layer from the GF Glue-Down light-commercial 0.7mm tier. Someone weighing Maximus Click for a quick floating floor over tiles has the equivalent in GF SPC. And because Grosvenor Flooring supplies both Invictus and GF, you are free to compare the two directly and choose whichever suits the project, rather than being pushed one way.

What is a good alternative to Invictus flooring?

GF by Grosvenor Flooring. GF Glue-Down LVT matches the Maximus and Ultimus glue-down tiers on wear layer and GF SPC matches the Maximus Click rigid-core format.

Does GF match Invictus on wear layer?
