Key Takeaways
Art Select and GF at a Glance
Art Select and the two GF glue-down ranges are built the same way: a flexible vinyl plank bonded to a smooth, prepared subfloor with adhesive. The wear layer is the clear protective top coat.
For the full comparison, read our GF Glue-Down LVT vs Karndean guide. For more on Art Select itself, see our Karndean Art Select guide.

Every Karndean Art Select Wood Design and Its Closest GF Match
The table lists every Art Select wood design on our site in A to Z order with the single closest GF design. Each match has the same fitting and the same plank, herringbone or chevron look.
How close is each match? “Very close match” and “Similar look” mean both floors have been checked against photos. “Similar colour” means no GF design passed the photo check, so the table shows the GF design closest in colour with the same fitting and look. For those, order samples of two or three GF designs before you decide. Where a match is a 0.55mm GF design, ask us about the GF Glue-Down 0.7mm tier if you want the same wear layer as Art Select.
The GF Designs That Match Art Select Most Often
A handful of GF designs cover most of the Art Select wood range, so if you are choosing between several Art Select designs, these are the GF samples to order first:
Every GF design is also listed with its wear layer, thickness and plank size on the GF Flooring website, under GF by AW and Glue Down LVT.
Art Select Stone and Tile Designs
This page covers Art Select’s wood designs. For a Art Select stone or tile design, search for the design name in Floor Finder: choose “I have seen a floor I like” and type the name. It shows the closest GF tile with the same fitting, or tells you if nothing is close enough.
How to Check a Match Before You Buy
Colour and grain read differently on a screen than in a room, so order a free sample of the GF match and look at it on your own floor, in daylight and under your own lighting. To see it next to the Art Select design itself, visit our Altrincham showroom, where both are on display.
When Karndean Art Select Is the Right Answer
Sometimes Art Select itself is the right choice: you have your heart set on one particular Art Select design, you want a Karndean laying pattern or border, or your project specification names Karndean. We supply and fit the full Art Select range too, so you can compare both and choose. Our Karndean herringbone guide covers the herringbone and parquet options and our Karndean alternative guide covers the GF match for every Karndean range.
