Piazza is Kahrs’ design-led 2-layer parquet range with 11mm build and a 3.5mm oak wear layer. Priced by grade and finish. Piazza CD grades sit in the design-led tier of Kahrs’ ladder. Kahrs Life Authentic Herringbone

All four colours of the Life Authentic Herringbone collection sit at the same price point in the entry-to-value-premium band. This is the sharpest entry into premium-brand herringbone flooring anywhere in the UK market. Colours: Chamomille, Mint, Sage, Ginseng.

Herringbone laid to Kahrs’ pattern will consume more material per m2 than the equivalent m2 of straight plank because the herringbone offset increases material waste. Budget approximately 10-15% additional material versus a straight plank calculation of the same room. Fitting a herringbone floor also carries a materially higher labour cost per m2 than straight plank because the setting-out and cutting is more precise, quoted per project against the specific brief.

Life Authentic Plank is priced at approximately half what an equivalent Piazza board costs. The material saving comes from the Kahrs Life veneer construction (a thinner oak veneer over a stability core rather than a 2-layer parquet with a 3.5mm wear layer). The visual finish is still real oak with Ultra Matt or Matt lacquered surface.

Flora Collection

Every fitting quote is calculated against the specific project. Format is the biggest driver of per-square-metre fitting cost: straight plank is the cheapest, herringbone takes materially longer per square metre because of pattern setting-out and boundary cuts, chevron takes longer again because of the 45-degree cut geometry. Glue-down installations add adhesive material cost and additional labour on top of the floating rate. Second, resandable life: Piazza can be sanded back twice, Life Authentic is not intended to be sanded. The two are engineered for different project types. Life Authentic is designed for renovation-driven budget constraints where the floor still needs to be real oak but does not need the resandable life a flagship spec delivers.
