Parador vs Woodpecker Engineered Wood Flooring

If your shortlist has Parador and Woodpecker on it, you are choosing between a German brand with a contemporary, series-based range and a British brand whose oak floors are named after places like Harlech, Bourton and Chepstow. Look and feel

Parador feels modern. Its Classic 3060 and Trendtime 4 boards are broad and light, the grading tends to be lively and the names come from wine grapes and Italian places. The Trendtime 3 herringbone is also made in vinyl and laminate, so the pattern can carry on into wet rooms.

Woodpecker feels more traditional and British. The plank ranges share one build and differ mainly in width and finish, from the 14mm Stonehaven entry plank to the 240mm wide Bourton. Highclere is a large-format herringbone, Goodrich a chevron with long 400mm blocks and Orkney a parquet.

Pick Parador when

You want a light, contemporary wide plank for an open-plan space.

You want one herringbone look across wood, vinyl and laminate.

You would like to see the floor in person first. Classic 3025, Classic 3060, Trendtime 3, Trendtime 4 and a Parador chevron are in our Wood Room.

Pick Woodpecker when

You want a thick oak top. Chepstow’s 6mm layer goes further than any Parador board.

You prefer a traditional British look with straightforward choices.

The warranty length matters to you. Woodpecker’s terms on most ranges are long.

You also need click vinyl. Woodpecker’s Weymouth, Warwick and Whitby vinyl ranges are sold on our website.

Parador is bought through our Altrincham showroom on a quote. On our website it is listed as request a quote. Parador samples are for viewing in the showroom only. Woodpecker engineered wood is quoted and supplied to order; it is not on display, so we work from the brand’s specifications and photographs. Both come with free UK delivery. We fit across Altrincham, Manchester and Cheshire using a regular team of fitters we know and trust.
