V4 Wood Flooring Prices UK 2026: The Complete Cost Guide
Key Takeaways
- V4 supply-only prices at Grosvenor Flooring run from £65.63/m2 (V4 Alpine Golden Oak) up to £149.99/m2 (V4 Tundra Smoked Oak Chevron) inc VAT with free UK mainland delivery.
- Four V4 collections cover distinct price tiers: Alpine (£65.63-£79.99) entry rustic plank, Driftwood (£69.68-£93.10) extra-long plank, Deco (£89.99 flat) design-led plank + herringbone, Tundra (£89.99-£149.99) plank/herringbone/chevron/XL.
- Herringbone and chevron formats carry a fitted premium of roughly 30-50% over straight plank because of tighter tolerances, longer fitting time and higher material waste.
- V4 is UK-made in Surrey with a 35-year domestic guarantee across the residential range. Grosvenor Flooring is a V4 Gold Account approved retailer (V4’s premium retail tier).
- V4 is drop-shipped direct from V4’s UK warehouse. Order online with visible pricing, request supply-and-fit quotes for Altrincham, Manchester and Cheshire installations.
V4 is one of the UK’s most-specified premium engineered wood brands and one of the few premium ranges Grosvenor Flooring stocks with fully transparent online pricing rather than a request-a-quote model. This guide covers every V4 collection we stock, real supply-only prices per m2, indicative supply-and-fit costs and how V4 compares on price against the other premium brands in the market.
Every V4 collection covered here is sold from the V4 category page, drop-shipped direct from V4’s Surrey warehouse and backed by V4’s 35-year domestic guarantee. For the broader positioning read, see our V4 engineered wood flooring guide.

V4 Alpine Prices: £65.63 – £79.99/m2
V4 Alpine is V4’s original engineered wood collection and the accessible entry into V4 quality. Eight rustic-grade European oak plank designs, all finished with V4’s own pure oils or UV-cured lacquers.
Alpine per-product pricing: Golden Oak (EP103) is the sole entry-price product at £65.63/m2. The other seven products all sit at £79.99/m2: Vale Oak (VIT107), Brushed Oak (A103), Upland Oak (A104), Glade Oak (A110), Sunlit Oak (E125), Forest Oak (EP101) and Canyon Oak (EC103).
Alpine’s value proposition sits at the entry into premium engineered wood – comparable in specification to entry-tier Kährs Life Authentic Plank (£53.05/m2 RRP) and Karndean Van Gogh at 3.0mm gauge, but with V4’s UK manufacturing and 35-year domestic guarantee. For rustic-grade oak with visible knots and character markings, Alpine is the sensible V4 starting point. Full collection detail in our V4 Alpine collection guide.
V4 Driftwood Prices: £69.68 – £93.10/m2
V4 Driftwood is V4’s extra-long board collection with a weathered coastal aesthetic. Eight designs across three price bands:
£69.68/m2 tier: Embered Oak (AL109), Lichen White Oak (AL108), Deckboard Oak (A305). The accessible entry to the Driftwood look.
£79.99/m2 tier: Silver Sands (AL104), Fjordic Shore (AL103), Jetsam Oak (AL102), Brushed Oak (AL101). The mid-band that carries most Driftwood specifications.
£93.10/m2: Pebble Grey Oak (AL107). The premium Driftwood option.
Driftwood’s slender, elongated planks and brushed lacquer finishes work particularly well in bright open-plan spaces and coastal or Scandi-influenced interiors. For the range-by-range breakdown, see our V4 Driftwood collection guide.
V4 Deco Prices: £89.99/m2 Flat
V4 Deco is the design-led heart of the V4 range and the collection where V4 does something no other brand in the same tier consistently does: identical colours and finishes offered in matching plank AND herringbone formats. That lets you run the same wood in straight plank through your living room and a herringbone parquet through the hallway or entrance without any colour or grain mismatch.
All 19 Deco products at £89.99/m2 (flat pricing):
Deco Herringbone (10 designs, prefix ZB): Frozen Umber (ZB101), Silver Haze (ZB103), Unfinished Oak (ZB107), Natural Oak (ZB108), Brushed Matt Oak (ZB109), Smoked Oak (ZB201), White Smoked Oak (ZB203), Shore Drift Oak (ZB204), Black Walnut (ZB205), Tannery Brown (ZB206).
Deco Plank (9 designs, prefix DC/A): Brushed Matt Oak (A111), Brushed Natural Oak (A112), Frozen Umber (DC101), Silver Haze (DC105), Smoked Oak (DC201), White Smoked Oak (DC203), Shore Drift Oak (DC204), Black Walnut (DC205), Tannery Brown (DC206).
Note that Black Walnut is genuine American Black Walnut, not oak – the only walnut in the V4 collection sold by Grosvenor. For the full collection walk-through, see our V4 Deco collection guide and format specifics in our V4 herringbone flooring guide.
V4 Tundra Prices: £89.99 – £149.99/m2
V4 Tundra is the format-rich part of the V4 catalogue and the most versatile collection we stock. Built on an unusual birch ply core construction that gives it additional dimensional stability and the best underfloor-heating performance in the V4 range. Four laying formats: plank, herringbone, chevron and XL herringbone.
Tundra Plank (£89.99/m2): Smoked Oak (TK103), Seashell (TK104), Misty Grey (TK105), Thermo Oak (TK106).
Tundra Herringbone (£89.99/m2): Smoked Oak (TH108), Seashell (TH109), Misty Grey (TH110), Thermo Oak (TH111). Same four colours as plank, same price.
Tundra Chevron (£129.99 – £149.99/m2): Seashell (CV104), Misty Grey (CV105), Thermo Oak (CV106) all at £129.99; Smoked Oak Chevron (CV103) at £149.99.
Chevron carries the price premium because of the 45-degree cut angle, tighter alignment tolerances and the more complex production run. Tundra Chevron is the V4 flagship format and the range to specify when the floor is a design statement rather than a background surface. Full spec detail in our V4 Tundra collection guide.
Supply-Only vs Supply-and-Fit Pricing
All the prices above are supply-only, delivered free to UK mainland from V4’s Surrey warehouse. If you’re outside Altrincham, Manchester or Cheshire, most customers arrange fitting locally with a competent engineered wood installer.
For customers within Grosvenor’s supply-and-fit area, indicative fitted premiums for straight plank installation typically add £15-25/m2 on top of the supply price, subject to subfloor condition, room complexity and access. Pattern layouts carry a fitting premium because of tighter tolerances, more precise setting-out and increased material waste:
Straight plank: lowest fitting cost. Most rooms fit at £15-25/m2 fitted premium over supply.
Herringbone: typically 25-40% more per m2 fitted than straight plank. Deco Herringbone or Tundra Herringbone at £89.99/m2 supply becomes roughly £115-130/m2 fitted depending on room specifics.
Chevron and XL Herringbone: the most skilled fits. The 45-degree cuts on chevron and the large-format XL herringbone both require more precise fitter work and increased waste. Tundra Chevron at £129.99-£149.99/m2 supply becomes roughly £180-210/m2 fitted.
These are indicative ranges – for a firm quote based on your specific project, room measurements and subfloor condition, see our engineered wood flooring installation cost guide or contact us directly.
What Affects V4 Fitted Price
Subfloor preparation. V4 dryback and glued installations demand a flat, dry, well-prepared subfloor. Marginal subfloors often need self-levelling compound before fitting – typical cost £5-10/m2 for straightforward levelling, more for significant remedial work. Skipping subfloor prep is the single most common cause of avoidable problems in engineered wood installations.
Adhesive choice. V4-approved adhesive systems add to the fitted price versus click installation. For dryback specifications the adhesive typically adds £3-6/m2. Click-format products (Driftwood 5Gc, Tundra floating installations) don’t need adhesive but do need appropriate underlay.
Format choice. As above – herringbone and chevron add fitting premium over straight plank. XL herringbone (Tundra 100 x 500mm blocks) adds premium over regular herringbone because of the block weight and handling.
Underfloor heating. All V4 engineered wood ranges are UFH-compatible subject to V4’s 27 degrees C surface temperature limit. UFH-forgiving installations (Tundra’s birch ply core is V4’s most UFH-friendly product) don’t necessarily cost more to fit but they do need careful commissioning. See our engineered wood flooring underfloor heating guide for full detail.
V4 vs Other Premium EW Brands on Price
How V4 lines up against the premium engineered wood brands most cross-shoppers consider:
Kährs (Sweden): Kährs residential range starts around £53/m2 (Life Authentic Plank) and runs up beyond £136/m2 (Piazza AB Crème White). Kährs has broader range depth (219 products across 36 collections) but V4 Alpine and V4 Deco offer better price positioning at equivalent spec. Kährs’ brand authority carries a premium at the top end. Detail in our Kährs flooring review.
Woodpecker (UK): Woodpecker sits in a similar premium bracket to V4, comparable pricing at each format tier. The 100-year Woodpecker guarantee is a strong differentiator against V4’s 35-year. Woodpecker is trade-only through their approved retailer network. See our Woodpecker engineered wood guide.
Ted Todd (UK): Ted Todd is the design-led premium British option. Ted Todd generally lists above V4 Deco on a per-m2 basis, particularly on their reclaimed and antique lines. Ted Todd operates through approved retailers only. For Cheshire-area buyers who’ve visited Ted Todd’s Warrington Design Centre and want to explore alternatives, see our Ted Todd Warrington alternative guide.
Grosvenor Flooring own-brand engineered wood: GF’s own engineered wood range positions below V4 Alpine on entry-tier plank pricing, offering the closest cost alternative for buyers who want the V4 look at a lower spend. Frequently Asked Questions
Is V4 wood flooring expensive?
V4 sits at the premium end of engineered wood pricing but not at the top. Alpine and Driftwood start under £70/m2 supply which is genuinely accessible for a British premium brand. Tundra Chevron at £149.99/m2 supply is the upper end. Comparable brands (Kährs, Woodpecker, Ted Todd) sit in similar premium territory. V4’s UK manufacturing and 35-year guarantee make the pricing competitive on specification-per-pound.
Do V4 prices include VAT?
All prices shown on the Grosvenor Flooring V4 product pages include VAT at the current rate. Free delivery to UK mainland is included in the supply price.
Does V4 flooring come with underlay?
V4 wood floors don’t include underlay in the supply price. Appropriate underlay for engineered wood on the specific installation method (floating vs bonded, over UFH or without) needs to be specified separately. Grosvenor Flooring can advise on the correct underlay when you order.
How much does V4 herringbone cost fitted?
V4 Deco Herringbone or Tundra Herringbone at £89.99/m2 supply typically ends up around £115-130/m2 fitted for a straightforward installation. Tundra Chevron ranges roughly £180-210/m2 fitted because of the 45-degree cutting complexity. Get an exact quote for your specific project – subfloor condition and room layout affect the final number materially.
Is V4 flooring UK made?
Yes. V4 is manufactured in the UK at V4’s Surrey production facility, drop-shipped to Grosvenor Flooring customers direct from that warehouse. UK manufacturing is one of V4’s key differentiators against continental European brands.
What warranty comes with V4 flooring?
All V4 residential engineered wood carries V4’s 35-year domestic guarantee when installed correctly. The guarantee covers manufacturing defects and wear under normal residential conditions. Commercial installations have separate warranty terms.
