Where to Buy V4 Wood Flooring in Altrincham – Grosvenor Flooring

This guide explains what Gold Account status means for you, what sets each collection apart and how to get a price. V4 is quote-only on our website, so each V4 product page has a Request a Quote button rather than a basket.

What Gold Account Status Means for You

V4 only sells through approved retailers and Gold Account is its top retail tier. A retailer earns it through a track record with V4 floors and by meeting V4’s standards on fitting and aftercare.

For you, the practical benefit is the guarantee. V4 backs its floors with a 35-year domestic guarantee when they are bought from an approved retailer and laid to V4’s installation guidance. Boards from an unofficial source, or a floor fitted without following that guidance, can leave you without that cover. Buying through us keeps the paperwork right from day one.

The Six V4 Collections

Every V4 floor has a solid wood top layer on an engineered base. These are the collections we supply. The figure in brackets is the number of designs on our website:

V4 Alpine (8 designs): 14mm and 18mm planks with a 3mm or 5mm oak top layer. The 18mm boards with 5mm of oak are the ones to pick if you want plenty of sanding life. See the V4 Alpine collection guide.

V4 Deco (19 designs): planks and parquet herringbone in matching finishes, including a Black Walnut, so a hall and a living room can share one look. See the V4 Deco collection guide.

V4 Driftwood (8 designs): long 2200mm planks in washed and weathered oak tones such as Pebble Grey and Silver Sands. See the V4 Driftwood collection guide.

V4 Heritage (8 designs): 14mm planks at 190 x 1900mm with a 3mm oak top layer, a straightforward wide-plank floor.

V4 Tundra (12 designs): the pattern collection. Chevron, herringbone and long planks are all glued down. See the V4 Tundra collection guide.

V4 Urban Nature (8 designs): 15mm boards with a 4mm oak top layer, as 220mm-wide planks or herringbone.

If you are choosing a pattern from Deco or Tundra, our V4 herringbone flooring hub puts the options side by side.

How to Get a V4 Price

Click Request a Quote on any V4 product, send us an enquiry or message us on WhatsApp. Tell us the collection or product code, rough room sizes, your timeframe and whether you want supply only or supply and fit.

Your quote lists the boards, delivery, underlay or adhesive and fitting as separate lines, so you can compare it fairly with anyone else’s. If a room needs work to stay within V4’s installation guidance, such as levelling or a moisture barrier, it goes in the quote at the start rather than coming up on fitting day. Our engineered wood installation cost guide explains what drives the fitting price.

Seeing V4 Before You Buy

V4 is not on display in our showroom. What you can see is our own GF engineered oak, laid out at full scale in the Wood Room at our Altrincham Smart Showroom, where Kahrs and Parador are on display too. Many GF boards share V4’s build, such as 14mm with a 3mm top layer, so standing on one tells you a lot about how a V4 board of the same make-up will feel.

The showroom is open 24/7. Request a door code. It arrives straight away, so you can visit whenever it suits you. Our Wood Room page explains what is there.

Supply and Fit With a Free Home Visit

For supply and fit in Altrincham, South Manchester or Cheshire, Blake Williams, our Operations Director, visits first. He checks the subfloor and any underfloor heating, measures every room and writes the quote. Once the boards have settled in the room, a regular team of fitters we know and trust lays them to V4’s installation guidance. Our engineered wood floor fitter page covers the process.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are you an approved V4 retailer in Altrincham?

Yes. Grosvenor Flooring holds V4’s Gold Account status and appears on V4’s own retailer finder, which also lists other approved retailers if you want to compare.

Do you supply V4 outside Altrincham?

Yes. We supply the full V4 range anywhere in the UK and our quote includes delivery. Supply and fit covers Altrincham, South Manchester and Cheshire.

Can I get V4 cheaper somewhere else?

Ask each retailer for an itemised quote, because the real difference is often in what is included. Ours shows the boards, delivery, preparation and fitting as separate lines, so you can see exactly what you are paying for.

Is the V4 35-year guarantee included?

Yes, on every V4 floor we supply, as long as it is laid to V4’s installation guidance. Our fitters follow it on every supply and fit job. If your own fitter is laying the floor, we send the guidance with your order.

How much does V4 cost fitted?

That depends on the collection, the format and your rooms. Herringbone and chevron take longer to set out and use more boards than straight planks, so they cost more to fit. Our V4 flooring prices guide explains the factors and your quote sets out every line.

Which V4 collection is best for underfloor heating?

All six can go over underfloor heating when fitted to V4’s guidance, which includes keeping the floor surface at no more than 27 degrees. Glued-down floors pass heat through best, so Tundra, where every format is glued, is a natural fit. Our engineered wood and underfloor heating guide covers the checks.

Can I see V4 in your showroom?

No, V4 is not on display. You can compare GF engineered oak of a similar build in the Wood Room, plus Kahrs and Parador in the showroom.

Still Comparing V4 With Other Brands?

Our V4 alternative guide weighs V4 against GF, Kahrs, Parador, Ted Todd and Woodpecker. The V4 vs GF guide compares it directly with our own range. If you have already been to Ted Todd in Warrington, our Ted Todd Warrington alternative guide covers that route and the V4 brand guide has the full background.
