Where to Buy Invictus Flooring on the Wirral
Reviewed by Blake Williams, Operations Director
Grosvenor Flooring sells the complete Invictus collection and fits it in homes across the Wirral, from West Kirby and Irby to Heswall, Prenton and Bebington. Invictus gives you a premium luxury vinyl floor for noticeably less than the household names, which makes it a smart choice for the large open-plan spaces common on the peninsula.

Your enquiry goes straight to Blake Williams, our Operations Director. Blake drives over from Tarvin to every home visit, measures up and writes the quote himself. One of the regular fitters we use lives on the Wirral.
Invictus Against the Big Two, Like for Like
The easiest way to understand Invictus is to set it next to the brands you already know:
At each level Invictus is usually the more affordable option. Amtico and Karndean have the deeper design libraries. Our Invictus vs Karndean guide goes into the detail.
Choosing Between the Four
Maximus is the most popular of the four. It has the widest set of wood designs and comes in both plank and herringbone. Ultimus is worth the step up for a kitchen-diner that sees boots, dogs and children all day. Primus keeps a bedroom or a holiday let affordable. Maximus Click is the pick when speed matters or the base is less than perfect.
All four are waterproof and all four handle wet or electric underfloor heating up to 27 degrees at the surface. Read our introduction to Invictus for more about the brand.
Big Rooms and Lots of Light
Many Wirral homes have been extended into one large kitchen, dining and family space, often with underfloor heating and a wall of glass facing the Dee or the garden. A long Maximus plank running the length of the room suits that kind of space well and the glue-down format gives good heat transfer from the heating below. In Victorian villas around Oxton, a herringbone in the hall and reception rooms keeps the period feel.
From Survey to Finished Floor
Blake looks at what is under your existing floor. Suspended timber floors in older houses usually need overlaying with ply before a glue-down range goes on. Concrete may need levelling. Maximus Click can often go straight over a sound existing hard floor with far less preparation.
All of that is priced at the visit. Blake trained and qualified as an accountant at Baker Tilly, so the quote is itemised line by line. A regular team of fitters we know and trust then lays the floor. The Invictus floor fitter page explains how we fit each range. To book a visit, contact us with your postcode. There is no minimum job size.
Visiting the Showroom
Every Invictus range is on display at our Altrincham showroom, 82 Stamford New Road, about an hour from most of the Wirral by the M53 and M56. As a 24/7 Smart Showroom it never closes: request a door code and go when it suits you. Amtico, Karndean and GF are on show nearby, so you can check the comparison above with your own eyes.
What Affects the Cost
Invictus starts from a lower base than its rivals, but the room still drives the final figure. Preparation varies a lot between an old villa and a modern home. Click fits faster than glue-down. Patterns take longer than straight planks. Removing an old floor and fitting new thresholds also count. Each of these appears separately on Blake’s quote. Our Invictus prices guide has more on each factor.

Who sells Invictus on the Wirral?
Grosvenor Flooring supplies and fits all four Invictus ranges across the peninsula. Blake Williams surveys every home in person.
Is Invictus waterproof?
Yes. All four ranges are waterproof, so they are suitable for kitchens, bathrooms and utility rooms as well as living spaces.
Can Invictus go over my existing tiles?
Maximus Click can go over most sound existing hard floors with less preparation. The glue-down ranges need a smooth prepared base. Blake will tell you which applies in your home.
Does Invictus come in herringbone?
Yes. Maximus is available in herringbone as well as plank.
Is Invictus cheaper than Karndean?
At the same wear layer it usually is. Karndean offers more designs, so it is worth comparing both in the showroom.
Do you have an Invictus fitter on the Wirral?
Yes. Blake surveys the job and a regular team of fitters we know and trust lays the floor anywhere in the CH41 to CH49 and CH60 to CH64 postcodes.
Do you cover Neston and Parkgate?
Yes, as well as Heswall, West Kirby, Hoylake, Oxton, Bebington and the rest of the peninsula.
Can I get free Invictus samples?
Invictus samples aren’t free. Every range is on display in Altrincham instead. Our GF floors come with free samples.
