Flooring in Lymm – Amtico, Karndean, Invictus & Engineered Wood
Sandstone cottages by Lymm Cross, Victorian houses along the Bridgewater Canal and family homes out towards Oughtrington all need different floors. Grosvenor Flooring supplies and fits them across the village and the WA13 postcode.
Amtico and Karndean are among the brands we offer as a Retail Partner. You can also choose from Invictus, Project Floors, our own GF range and plenty of engineered wood. Blake Williams, our Operations Director, visits every Lymm home to measure and quote.

A Flooring Service That Comes to Lymm
We are about 15 minutes away along the A56 in Altrincham, but you don’t need to make the trip. Blake will come to the house, look at the rooms and check what lies under the current floor. Older village properties often have solid floors laid straight onto earth or uneven flagstones, so he tests for damp too. He trained as an accountant at Baker Tilly and his quotes reflect that: everything is listed.
Approve the quote and we book in a regular team of fitters we know and trust. More on how our supply and fit service works.
Flooring for Lymm Homes
Amtico in Lymm
All six current Amtico collections are available: Signature, Spacia, Form, First, Click Smart and Access. In a cottage kitchen with uneven walls, an Amtico stone tile laid square to the main wall and finished with feature stripping can make the room feel far more ordered.
The Amtico floor fitter page covers installation. Before visiting the showroom, have a look at where to buy Amtico in Altrincham.
Karndean in Lymm
For Karndean, choose from Art Select, Van Gogh, Van Gogh Rigid Core, Knight Tile, Knight Tile Rigid Core or Palio Essenza. Van Gogh’s weathered oaks sit naturally in a canal-side cottage.
Not sure which brand to pick? Amtico vs Karndean sets out the main differences. Fitting details are on the Karndean floor fitter page and our Karndean buying guide describes the showroom.
Invictus, Project Floors & GF
If you like the idea of a premium floor without the big-brand price, Invictus is worth a look. Its four ranges are on our Invictus floor fitter page. Project Floors handles mud, paws and heavy footfall.
GF, our own range, is matched to the leading brands for less. Textures and Elements offer more plank and herringbone choices in wood effects. Order free samples of all three and lay them out in your own rooms. The LVT floor fitter page explains fitting.
Engineered Wood – A Natural Fit for Lymm
Real oak suits Lymm’s older houses beautifully. Our own GF engineered wood comes in plank, herringbone, chevron and Versailles. You can compare every board in the Wood Room at our showroom.
Living on the Warrington side of the village? Our guide to engineered wood flooring in Warrington covers the area. If you have priced up Ted Todd or Woodpecker, read looking for a Ted Todd alternative? and looking for a Woodpecker alternative?. Installation is covered on the engineered wood floor fitter page.
Can I See the Floors Before I Buy?
Yes. Head east along the A56 to our Altrincham showroom at 82 Stamford New Road, where you can park on site. It is a 24/7 Smart Showroom, so request a door code and visit when the village is quiet and you have time to browse.

Start Floor FinderFlooring in Lymm – Frequently Asked Questions
Can you fit flooring in an old sandstone cottage?
Yes. Older floors are often uneven or have no damp-proof membrane, so Blake checks moisture and levels first and builds any preparation into the quote.
How far is your showroom from Lymm?
About 15 minutes along the A56. You can visit at any hour with a door code.
What floor is best for a home with dogs?
A glue-down LVT with a thick wear layer, such as Karndean Art Select or Amtico Signature, copes best with claws and muddy paws.
Do you cover Thelwall and Heatley?
Yes, along with Statham, Broomedge, Warburton and the rest of WA13.
Can I compare engineered wood brands in person?
Yes. The Wood Room in Altrincham lays out full boards so you can see colour and grain in daylight.
Is LVT warm underfoot in a cottage?
It is noticeably warmer than stone or ceramic. It also works with underfloor heating if you are planning to add it.
Are any samples free?
Yes. GF, Textures and Elements samples are sent free of charge.
Do you take on small jobs in Lymm?
Absolutely. A single utility room or hallway is fine.
