AMTICO RANGES WE FIT
Our installers work across the full Amtico collection. Whichever range you have chosen or already own, we have fitted it many times before:
- Amtico Signature — the flagship glue-down range, often laid in herringbone, parquet or with feature borders.
- Amtico Spacia — popular glue-down plank and tile, ideal for living spaces and hallways.
- Amtico Form — characterful wood-effect designs for a more rustic look.
- Amtico First — the entry tier, hard-wearing and budget-friendly.
- Amtico Click Smart — a click-fit system that installs quickly over most subfloors.
If you want to compare ranges in person before deciding, you can view Amtico samples at our Altrincham showroom, open 24/7 via smart-lock access. See also our guides on where to buy Amtico in Altrincham and where to buy Amtico in Wilmslow.
WHAT AN AMTICO INSTALLATION INVOLVES
The glue-down Amtico ranges are luxury vinyl that bond directly to the subfloor, so the quality of the finish depends almost entirely on preparation. A poorly prepped subfloor is the most common reason an Amtico floor disappoints. Here is what a proper fit involves so you know what you are paying for.
Subfloor Preparation
We assess the existing subfloor, then apply a latex smoothing compound to create the flat, sound, moisture-stable base Amtico requires. On timber subfloors this usually means overboarding with plywood first. Preparation is included in our fitted quotes rather than added later as a surprise.
Acclimatisation
Amtico planks and tiles are left in the room to acclimatise before fitting so the material settles to the temperature of the space. Skipping this risks lifting or gapping once the heating cycles through the year.
Laying Patterns
We fit standard plank and tile layouts as well as herringbone, parquet and stone-effect designs with feature strips or borders. Pattern work takes longer and needs a more experienced hand, which is reflected in the fitting time rather than corners being cut. Our Amtico laying patterns guide and herringbone laying patterns guide show what is possible. Our LVT installation guide walks through the fitting process.
AMTICO FITTING COST
Fitting cost depends on the range you choose, the laying pattern, the condition of your subfloor and the size and layout of the rooms. A simple plank layout in a square room costs less per square metre than herringbone in a space with lots of cuts and obstacles. An accurate price needs a survey, but we publish real figures so you are not quoting blind.
Our full LVT supply and fit pricing guide sets out fitted prices for every Amtico range on display, organised into Good, Better and Best tiers, all based on our standard installation specification including subfloor smoothing. Have a look before your survey to set expectations, then we firm up the exact number once we have measured. For product-only prices by range, see our Amtico flooring prices guide.
SUPPLY AND FIT, ONE COMPLETE SERVICE
We supply and fit Amtico as one complete service rather than fitting flooring bought elsewhere. There is a good reason for that. When one team supplies the product and lays it, there is no finger-pointing if anything is not right, one quote covers everything and we stand behind the whole floor. You get the product, the subfloor preparation, the installation and the aftercare from a single point of contact at one all-inclusive price.
Not chosen your Amtico yet? That is the easiest place to start. Browse the full Amtico range or view it at our Altrincham showroom, then send us your room details and we will quote the supply and fit.
AREAS WE COVER
Our Amtico fitting service covers Altrincham and the whole of South Manchester and Cheshire. Towns we regularly work in include Congleton, Crewe, Wilmslow, Alderley Edge, Macclesfield, Nantwich, Knutsford, Poynton, Hale and Sale. Not sure if we reach you? Ask us and we will confirm.
WHY CHOOSE GROSVENOR FLOORING AS YOUR AMTICO FITTER
We are a flooring business with a showroom, a regular installation crew we know and trust and a national supply operation behind us, not a single van that may or may not pick up the phone next week. You deal with one point of contact, you can see the product before you commit and you get a written all-inclusive quote with no prep charges sprung on you mid-job. Our Altrincham showroom is open 24/7 on a smart lock, so you can view ranges at a time that suits you rather than booking into shop hours.
GET A FITTED QUOTE
The fastest way to an accurate price is to send the job details so we can survey and quote. Helpful to include:
- Which rooms and the approximate area in square metres
- The range and laying pattern you want, if you know
- Your subfloor type (concrete, timber, existing tiles)
- Any deadline you are working to

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do you supply the Amtico too, or just fit it?
We supply and fit Amtico as one complete service, so the product and the installation come from one team at one all-inclusive price. That way we stand behind the whole floor rather than fitting flooring bought elsewhere.
How much does Amtico fitting cost?
It depends on the range, the laying pattern and the subfloor, so an accurate figure needs a survey. Our LVT pricing guide publishes real fitted prices by tier so you have a realistic guide before we measure.
Do you fit Amtico Signature herringbone?
Yes. We fit Amtico Signature and Spacia in herringbone, parquet and designs with feature borders. Pattern work takes longer than a standard plank layout, which is reflected in the fitting time rather than the quality of the finish.
Which areas do you cover for Amtico fitting?
Altrincham, South Manchester and Cheshire, including Congleton, Crewe, Wilmslow, Alderley Edge, Macclesfield, Nantwich, Knutsford and the surrounding towns.
How long does an Amtico installation take?
Most domestic rooms are completed in a day or two once preparation is done, but subfloor smoothing and acclimatisation can add time. We give you a realistic timeline with your quote.
Do I need subfloor preparation?
Almost always for glue-down Amtico. A latex smoothing compound creates the flat, stable base the floor needs. We include preparation in our quotes rather than adding it later.
