Flooring in Prestbury – Amtico, Karndean, Invictus & Engineered Wood
Prestbury’s black-and-white village street, the River Bollin and the large homes in the lanes around it make it one of Cheshire’s most distinctive villages. Grosvenor Flooring supplies and fits floors here and across the SK10 postcode, from Butley Town to Adlington.
We carry Amtico and Karndean as a Retail Partner for each, along with Invictus, Project Floors, our own GF range and a selection of engineered wood. Blake Williams, our Operations Director, carries out every home visit in the village.

From Village Cottage to Country House
Prestbury homes range from listed cottages to large modern houses in their own grounds. Blake adapts to each one. In an older property he looks at how the existing floor was built and whether it can take a new surface. In a newer house he checks the heating system and the screed. He trained and qualified as an accountant at Baker Tilly, so his quote is precise and complete.
The work itself is then completed by a regular team of fitters we know and trust. They treat the property with care. Our supply and fit service page describes each stage.
Flooring for Prestbury Homes
Amtico for Prestbury
We supply the whole Amtico family: Signature, Spacia, Form, First, Click Smart and Access. In a country kitchen, a Signature flagstone-effect tile gives the look of stone with a warmer, softer surface. Signature also offers feature stripping for borders.
Our Wilmslow Amtico guide is the closest to Prestbury. Fitting is explained on the Amtico floor fitter page.
Karndean for Prestbury
Our Karndean selection covers Art Select, Van Gogh, Van Gogh Rigid Core, Knight Tile, Knight Tile Rigid Core and Palio Essenza. Van Gogh’s characterful oaks are a natural match for barn conversions.
Prestbury buyers often use our Wilmslow Karndean guide as a starting point. Weighing it against Amtico? Try Amtico vs Karndean. Installation is on the Karndean floor fitter page.
Invictus, Project Floors & GF
Invictus brings four premium ranges at a more modest price, set out on our Invictus floor fitter page. For boot rooms and tack rooms, Project Floors is the practical heavyweight.
Our GF range is matched to the leading brands for less. We also supply and fit Textures and Elements, two wood-effect ranges in plank and herringbone. You can request free samples of GF, Textures and Elements. Fitting is explained on the LVT floor fitter page.
Engineered Oak in Prestbury
Real wood is a favourite in Prestbury’s period and country homes. Our own GF engineered wood comes in plank, herringbone, chevron and Versailles formats. Every board is laid out in the Wood Room so you can see grain and colour properly.
Ted Todd is a name many Prestbury homeowners know. Our guide to buying Ted Todd in Wilmslow explains how GF compares. Fitting details are on the engineered wood floor fitter page.

Start Floor FinderFlooring in Prestbury – Frequently Asked Questions
Can you fit flooring in a listed cottage?
Often, yes, but listed buildings can have restrictions. Check with your conservation officer first. Blake will then advise on floors that suit the building.
What flooring suits a barn conversion?
Rustic engineered oak or a characterful LVT such as Karndean Van Gogh both work well. Blake checks for underfloor heating on his visit.
Is there a hard-wearing floor for a boot room?
Yes. Project Floors and our GF range are tough, waterproof and easy to hose down or mop.
Do you cover Adlington and Mottram St Andrew?
Yes, along with Butley Town and the rest of SK10.
How long is the drive to your showroom?
Around 25 minutes to Altrincham. The showroom is open every hour of every day.
Can I see Ted Todd alongside GF?
Our Ted Todd guide covers the comparison and the Wood Room has GF boards to see in person.
Which samples can I order free?
GF, Textures and Elements.
Who comes out to measure?
